National Unity leader Benny Gantz on Wednesday praised former U.S. President Donald Trump’s comments on potential American control of Gaza and the relocation of its residents, calling them “further proof of the deep alliance between the U.S. and Israel.”
“He has shown, not for the first time, that he is a true friend of Israel and will continue to stand by its side on key security matters,” said Gantz.
Gantz described Trump’s statements as “creative, original and interesting” and said they should be examined alongside Israel’s war objectives, with priority given to securing the release of all hostages held in Gaza.
