Israeli FM says Chile President's actions yield 'severe damage to the relationship'

|
The Israeli Foreign Ministry regarded the incident in which Chile's President, Gabriel Boric, refused on Thursday to accept the letter of credence from Israel's Ambassador, Gil Artzieli.
"Israel takes Chile's puzzling and unprecedented behavior seriously," it said in the statement. "This severely damages the relationship between the countries.
"The Chilean ambassador to Israel was summoned to the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday for a rebuke."
According to reports, the president was angered over the "killing of a Palestinian boy," referring to the 17-year-old terrorist who opened fire towards the IDF troops in Jenin.
