Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a telephone conversation with U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff on Monday, focusing on joint efforts to secure hostage releases and implement the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
The discussion, confirmed by Egypt’s Foreign Ministry, stressed collaboration between the U.S., Egypt and Qatar to “de-escalate tensions, reduce hostilities and advance the ceasefire’s implementation.”
