Three IDF reservists were wounded Wednesday by rocket fire launched at troops operating in Lebanon, with one of them seriously hurt, according to the military.
The other two wounded were a reserve battalion commander and another reservist, both of whom were listed in light condition.
All three were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families were notified.
The rocket landed near the troops as they were maneuvering in southern Lebanon, wounding them with shrapnel.
Israeli forces operating deeper inside Lebanese territory have come under fire, mainly from rocket and mortar attacks and, at times, anti-tank missiles. To prevent attacks on the troops, the forces have responded with suppressive artillery fire and air support from Israeli Air Force aircraft to pin down enemy combatants.
Meanwhile, sirens sounded continuously along the Lebanon border from east to west as Hezbollah kept firing rockets and drones at Israeli communities.
