Hackers responsible for cyberattack on Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital identified

Ragnar Locker, an Eastern European hacker group, is behind the cyberattack at Mayanei Hayeshua hospital in Bnei Brak. According to data from the information security company Check Point, the group is a ransomeware group that has been operating since at least the end of 2019 and usually uses the double extortion method – encrypting information as well as stealing sensitive information from the blackmailed organization's network. Earlier, the Authority for the Protection of Privacy warned that following the cyberattack on the hospital in Bnei Brak "there is a real indication of a leak of sensitive personal information."
