The Water Authority reported that the amount of precipitation that has fallen in Israel since the beginning of the rainy season constitutes 60% of the average for this period, and in the south of the country only 30%. The authority stated that this is a "worrying situation for the current winter." It says that the data presents a particularly difficult season in Israel, which is only surpassed by the 2022-2023 rainfall season. In the central mountain region, only 60% of the annual average was measured, in the Sea of Galilee 50%, and in the Western Galilee 70%.
