Iranian Foreign Minister: "Perhaps the US used talks as 'camouflage' before Israeli attack"

|
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in an interview with NBC that his country is not sure whether it can trust the United States in diplomatic talks after Israel launched an attack on Iran a few days before another round of nuclear talks in Oman. According to him, Washington may not be interested in diplomacy and just used the talks as a "camouflage" before an Israeli attack. "The role of the Americans is to show their determination to pursue a solution through agreement, but they may have simply needed negotiations as 'camouflage' before an attack," Araghchi said. He added, "We are not willing to negotiate with them anymore as long as the aggression continues. I told Witkoff several times that zero enrichment is an impossible thing."
