Geological Survey of Israel: Earthquake alerts were due to 'controlled explosion'

After earthquake alerts were activated earlier in the northern part of the country, the Geological Survey of Israel issued a statement saying, "The earthquake alerts were triggered by a significant, controlled explosion that was conducted this morning in the northern region. The alert system identified the explosion as an earthquake, and the alert was distributed accordingly." IDF forces detonated a Hezbollah explosives cache in Lebanon.
