The IDF has achieved its goal in its raid of Al Shifa Hospital in the Gaza Strip but the mission is not over, Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi told troops after a situation assessment at the hospital on Friday.
"This operation has not ended, but it has achieved its goal to a very high degree. We continue to conduct it thoroughly until we announce its completion," he said.
"There is an impressive tactical concept being realized here. There's a very important message - a hospital is not a safe place. We do everything to avoid harming patients and medical teams. They were not harmed, but many terrorists were killed, many were captured. This is a very high level of combat. This operation has achieved its goal." (Yoav Zitun)
