Charges: Wisconsin resident threatened to kill Trump under stolen identity to cause deportation

|
Demetrick Scott, a Wisconsin resident, is charged with threatening the life of U.S. President Donald Trump in an attempt to cause another person's deportation. Scott faces charges of witness harassment, identity theft and bond violation. According to the indictment, he wrote a letter threatening to kill Trump under the identity of another person, Morales Reyes (54) from Wisconsin. Homeland Security Secretary Kristjen Nielsen even addressed Reyes' arrest in her statement, indicating he was set to be deported to Mexico. Investigators began to question their decision when they compared the handwriting in the letter to that of Reyes - and found it did not match.
