Attorney General Responds to Conflict of Interest Claims: 'Ronen Bar and Nadav Argaman Were Never My Friends'

|
Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara submitted a supplementary response to a petition filed against her in the High Court of Justice, which claimed she has a 'severe conflict of interest' regarding procedures involving outgoing Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and his predecessor Nadav Argaman. In her response, the Attorney General stated that she is not and has never been friends with or close to either of them, and it was determined there was no need to update her conflict of interest arrangement. 'The Attorney General is not and has never been friends with Mr. Argaman or Mr. Bar at any stage, and is not and has never been personally close to them,' stated the response submitted by the State Attorney's High Court of Justice department.
