The head of Mateh Asher Regional Council and chairman of the Confrontation Line Forum, Moshe Davidovich, stated that "following an intensive struggle, the Northern Command and the Home Front Command will most likely announce within the next 24 hours a change in defense guidelines, subject to the approval of the defense minister or the prime minister." He noted that "the defense guidelines will be transmitted in full from the Home Front Command and the Northern Command once they are approved."
