The Department for Investigation of Police Officers questioned under caution a police officer from the Lahav 433 unit on suspicion that he had contact with a foreign agent. The investigation began following information that arrived from the Barak division commander in the unit, and yesterday the officer was detained and questioned at the department's offices. At the end of his interrogation, he was released under restrictive conditions to house arrest. The suspect's attorney claimed that 'the officer received contact from a foreign entity, reported to his commanders and the chain of command as expected of him. During his interrogation, he directed the investigators to the entities with whom he was in contact in the police, and after his version was verified, he was released to his home.'
