A measles patient was on a flight from the U.S. to Ben Gurion Airport, the Health Ministry announced. The patient flew on El Al flight LY026, which departed from Newark on Sunday, February 15, at 9:15 p.m. (local time) and landed at Ben Gurion on Monday, February 16, at 2:30 p.m. The Health Ministry recommends that pregnant women who have not been vaccinated with two doses, people with immune suppression and infants under one year old who were on this flight contact the health bureau in their area of residence and consider receiving passive immunization against measles. The ministry called on people who do not feel well not to attend mass events and not to endanger their family and immediate surroundings.
