The Fire and Rescue Authority spokesperson updated that six firefighting teams are working to extinguish several fire hotspots in the Beit Keshet Forest area. Firefighters are working to contain the spread of the fire under difficult weather conditions including extreme heat and winds. Lower Galilee Regional Council head Nitzan Peleg noted that "the fire is under control, far from the kibbutz and there is no threat. Ilaniya village is also not in danger."
