Police are investigating whether the 17-year-old boy from Lod suspected of murdering Ruslan and Olga Prikhodko did so over a dispute about ancient coins. In fact, just hours after the teen was arrested, he already reenacted the murder. First, he said, he shot Ruslan – and then Olga. The teen told investigators he knew the two through a shared hobby – searching for ancient coins in the open area of Karmei Yosef, where an archaeological site is located. The teen explained that an argument broke out between him and Ruslan over coins they found and sold, and at the end of the confrontation he shot him. He could not explain why he also shot the woman.
