The Supreme Court rejected the appeal of a doctor arrested on suspicion of attempting to bribe voters to vote for the Ra'am party, and upheld his detention. Justice Yechiel Kasher dismissed the doctor's claim that the case raises a fundamental question regarding the distinction between legitimate political activity and criminal offense, and determined that the decision to extend his detention stemmed from the weight of the evidence and the concern for obstructing the investigation. Regarding the request for a Supreme Court hearing, he wrote: 'It does not come within the realm of such cases, not even close.'
