Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter said at the signing ceremony for the framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon that "through hard work, we managed to get the train back on track and it is moving in the right direction. The final destination: a peace agreement between the countries, a real peace agreement in which both countries live in security and the sovereignty of Israel and Lebanon will be respected and protected." He added that "within this framework, Iran is out, Hezbollah is out and the path to peace between Israel and Lebanon is in."
