Haifa man to be charged: produced explosives under Iranian guidance, photographed rocket impact sites during war

|
Ami Gaidrov, a 22-year-old Israeli from Haifa, was arrested last month on suspicion of contact with Iranian intelligence operatives and aiding the enemy during wartime for monetary gain. According to the Shin Bet and police, Gaidrov agreed to produce explosives intended to harm a senior figure, and enlisted several of his friends to help. As a result, northern residents Sergei Libman and Eduard Shubtyuk were also arrested, suspected of helping Gaidrov hide explosives and conduct an experiment with them. The investigation also revealed that Gaidrov was instructed to transfer to the Iranian authorities photographs of Haifa Port and rocket impact sites in the north. In exchange for his actions, he received more than 70,000 shekels. A prosecutor's statement was filed against him today, ahead of the filing of an indictment.
