Haimanot Kasao's family met for the first time with Shin Bet chief David Zinni at his office. During the meeting, family members and their representatives shared with Shin Bet officials the sequence of events, impressions, feelings and expectations. According to the 'Headquarters for Haimanot,' 'Zinni showed empathy for the family's suffering, expressed interest and was open and willing to expand the organization's involvement, subject to approval by Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. The family was very moved by Zinni and his team's willingness to do everything, in his words, to help the family – whether in cooperation with the police or if a decision is made to transfer the case to their handling.'
