Three toddlers aged nine months to two years were admitted to Rambam Hospital in Haifa due to severe infections that developed after they were not vaccinated. Two of them contracted meningitis and one is suffering from complications of blood infection. In the case of two toddlers, laboratory test results indicate that the infection is caused by bacteria that the recommended vaccines could have protected against. The third case is still being investigated. The condition of all three toddlers is stable.
