Police arrested five suspects in connection with gunfire heard overnight and in the morning in Rahat and the surrounding area. During the arrests, two handguns, an M-16 assault rifle, magazines and hundreds of rounds of ammunition were seized. Rahat Police Station Commander Chief Superintendent Yona Yitzhak said that "Rahat Police is acting with determination and zero tolerance against shooting offenses, violence and possession of illegal combat equipment."
