The man who was shot and killed Sunday while attempting to snatch a soldier's weapon near the city of Ashkelon was a Jewish man in his 20s who suffered from mental health issues, Israel Police said.
According to the police, the man used a plastic gun to threaten the soldier and snatch her rifle. He was neutralized shortly after by an IDF officer.
