New York State Representative Ritchie Torres has resigned from the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) following its members' criticism of Israel and calls for a cease-fire in Gaza.
Torres, considered among Israel's staunchest supporters in the U.S. Congress, is the second member to leave the caucus over criticism against the war, following Florida Representative Lois Frankel's departure. (Daniel Edelson, New York)
