Knesset promots bill to cancel ‘disengagement’ in northern West Bank

|
A bill to repeal the "Law of Disengagement" in the northern West Bank, which prohibits Israelis from staying in areas from which Israel withdrew in 2005, was approved on Wednesday in its first reading of three with 62 MKs voting in favor and 36 against.
If passed into law, the legislation would allow Israelis to visit the outposts of Homesh and Sa-Nur in the northern West Bank, but the ban on building and living there will still be in effect.
