Magistrate's Court in Rishon LeZion on Sunday approved a plea agreement between the State Attorney Office and MK Haim Katz of the Likud Party, sentencing him to six months probation.
As part of the plea agreement, he will also pay a fine of NIS 75,300, but a moral turpitude clause, banning him from Knesset, will not be invoked.
About a month and a half ago, Katz was convicted of conspiracy to "achieve a goal by improper means," after he promoted a law nearly a decade ago.
