The Health Ministery on Wednesday confirmed Israel's fifth case of monkeypox in a man in his 30s who returned from abroad.
The man arrived at Tel Aviv's Sourasky Medical Center with monkeypox-like symptoms before being handed down his diagnosis.
Monkeypox is a viral disease that usually manifests itself in fever, blistering rash and enlargement of lymph nodes.
The ministry calls on travelers who have developed a fever and a blistering rash after returning from abroad or coming in close contact with a person who is suspected of having monkeypox to contact their attending physician.
