Following the confession of a soldier who served in the reserves as a security guard at the Sde Teiman detention facility who abused detained terrorists under aggravated circumstances, he was sentenced and convicted of the charges against him, according to the IDF. The defendant was convicted of several incidents in which he beat the detainees with his fists and with his weapon while they were handcuffed and blindfolded. These acts were committed in the presence of other soldiers, some of whom called on him to stop, and were even recorded on the defendant's cell phone. The military court sentenced him to seven months in prison, probation and demoted him to the rank of private.
