Palestinian officials said leaders of Hamas arrived in Turkey on Tuesday ahead of a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. According to the sources, the meeting is connected to the recent visit of Ismail Haniyeh in Iran where he discussed the political and security implications of the war in Gaza. Haniyeh last spoke with Erdogan two weeks ago and has since met with senior Iranian officials.
