Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received a phone call from U.S. President Joe Biden in which he thanked Sisi for the Egyptian role in the joint mediation that led to reaching a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip, the Egyptian presidency said on Wednesday.
