Diaspora Minister Amichai Shikli claimed on his X account that Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa should be eliminated. In a post published in English, he wrote that "we must not stand idly by in the face of the Islamist-Nazi terror regime of al-Qaeda in a suit and tie. Anyone who thinks Ahmad al-Sharaa is a legitimate leader is greatly mistaken - he is a terrorist who should be eliminated without delay." Shikli added that "we saw the terrible massacre of the Alawites, encountered deafening silence from European leaders and now we are witnessing the massacre and humiliation of the Druze. The terror regime in Syria must be fought."
