The Israeli government on Sunday approved a new five-year plan for the economic and social development of the Arab sector.
The plan is believed to cost NIS 30 billion and will be implemented between 2022-2026, and will include investment in education, transportation, housing, culture and sport, and employment.
Social Equality Minister Meirav Cohen said, "this plan will provide hope for many people in Israel, and at the end of the day will also reduce the violence and crime problem in the Arab sector."
