Parents of female observers, soldiers who fell at Nahal Oz outpost ask IDF to recognize their heroism

The parents of female IDF observers and operations room personnel killed during the October 7 attack on the Nahal Oz outpost, along with the parents of Noa Marciano—an observer who was kidnapped and later murdered in captivity—have appealed to IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and Defense Minister Israel Katz, requesting that their daughters be formally recognized for their bravery with a military decoration. In their letter, the parents wrote: “In the investigation, we were also exposed to the heroism of the soldiers—both men and women. We received official confirmation of what we already knew: the extraordinary courage our daughters, the observers and operations coordinators, demonstrated on the morning of October 7.”
