The IDF on Wednesday denied targeting a United Nations compound in Dir al-Balah, refuting earlier reports from Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry officials. The ministry had claimed an Israeli airstrike on a UN facility in central Gaza killed one UN worker and injured five others.
"Contrary to reports, the IDF did not strike a UN compound in Deir el Balah. The IDF calls on media outlets to act with caution regarding unverified reports," the IDF Spokesperson's Unit said in a statement.
