Mossad chief's scathing letter against designated successor revealed: 'Grave danger'

|
Mossad Chief Dadi Barnea sharply attacked his designated successor Roman Gofman in a letter addressed to Supreme Court justices and forwarded to Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. In the letter, which was fully revealed on i24news, Barnea explained why Gofman cannot serve in the position designated for him by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, writing: "A person who acted in the manner described in the case of the youth Almakais is not suitable for the position of Mossad chief, could endanger his employees and does not meet the standard of integrity required for the position. If he believes that bypassing procedures and norms can help the state's security, this is a pattern that could develop into a grave danger when he is Mossad chief."
