Lt. Col. (ret.) Micky Barel, former chief military police officer, said in an interview with ynet studio that he spoke with the military police commander, Lt. Col. Yuval Yamin, after dozens of ultra-Orthodox individuals broke into his yard in Ashkelon last night. "I spoke with Yuval - they entered his yard, caused damage to the house, evacuated the family and caused panic. He wasn't home, and this is something that cannot be overlooked." He added: "I don't think this was done as a surprise. There is intelligence and they should have been prepared. The rabbi should also be arrested. The rioters, someone organized them and gave them instructions."
