Hostage survivor Karina Engel-Bart addressed the government in a statement at Nir Oz marking 600 days since the war began, saying: "Don't leave them for one more day. This isn't about right or left, these are the values we were raised on." According to her, "Most of Israeli society wants the hostages home, even at the cost of stopping the war. I simply want to start anew, for 600 days I wake up to October 7."
