IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir is commanding the attack on Iran from the bunker at the Kirya base in Tel Aviv. The IDF stated that "Iran is still developing plans to destroy the State of Israel through its proxies, including ground invasion and firing from all directions. Iran is in great strategic distress and we have reached the point of no return. This is the time. The operation began tonight and will develop as needed. We are in a different type of event and need to bear a different kind of responsibility. We will be able to provide at least 10 minutes warning before missile fire from Iran."
