CENTCOM: 'More than 100 aircraft and 15,000 service members to participate in Operation Prosperity Guardian'

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on X that its forces will participate in Operation Prosperity Guardian, declared by U.S. President Donald Trump, to assist in freeing ships stuck in the Strait of Hormuz. It further stated that "military support for the operation will include guided-missile destroyers, more than 100 land-based and naval aircraft, multi-domain unmanned platforms and 15,000 service members." Additionally, a U.S. official told CNN that the operation will not include escort missions in the Strait of Hormuz.
