An undercover police agent known as 'Van Dam' gathered evidence leading to the arrest of 10 suspects, aged 18 to 50, from East Jerusalem and surrounding areas, on charges of illegal weapons and ammunition trafficking. Several suspects, who illegally traded weapons throughout the capital including at a major shopping center, worked as maintenance staff at a hospital and as an employee at a Jerusalem food retail chain. The arrested suspects were transferred for investigation to the Jerusalem District Central Unit, and later today they will be brought before the city's Magistrate's Court, where police will request an extension of their detention.
