Lebanese newspaper "Al-Akhbar," affiliated with Hezbollah, reported from an Egyptian diplomat that Cairo warned Washington that Israel's plan to occupy Gaza "will necessarily lead to the death of Israeli hostages because their captors have been instructed to 'neutralize' them if they come under siege." The diplomat added that "Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi requested direct communication with U.S. President Donald Trump."
