Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich responded to Opposition Leader Yair Lapid's statements in the Knesset plenum, claiming they were spin. After Lapid hinted that Israel is funding aid to Gaza, Smotrich said: "Look who's fighting against our dramatic move to control humanitarian aid so it doesn't reach Hamas and so we can finally choke, defeat and destroy it: the UN, Hamas, global left-wing media and Haaretz." Smotrich attacked the Opposition Leader, saying: "Now someone explain to me why Yair Lapid is joining the opponents and those who prefer aid continues flowing to Hamas and maintaining its rule."
