The office of Defense Minister Israel Katz denied claims from the IDF that the minister delayed the meeting to approve appointments with IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir for about a month. "Only last Friday did the Chief of Staff's office request to schedule a meeting on the matter, and for only about 15 minutes," officials in the office said. "It's as if the minister is a rubber stamp."
