France, Germany and Britain have informed the UN that they are ready to reimpose sanctions on Iran if it does not return to the negotiating table with the international community regarding its nuclear program by the end of the month. This was reported in the Financial Times. "We have made it clear to Iran that if it is not willing to reach a diplomatic solution before the end of August 2025, or does not take advantage of the extension opportunity we have offered, we are prepared to activate the snapback mechanism," wrote the foreign ministers of the E3 countries in a letter sent to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the Security Council.
