Some 40,000 visitors flocked to nature reserves and national parks across Israel over the weekend. The Nature and Parks Authority reported that the leading sites were Gan HaShlosha (Sachne), Gamla Nature Reserve, Mount Arbel, Yarkon National Park (Tel Afek), Tel Ashkelon, Coral Beach Nature Reserve in Eilat, Mitzpeh HaTzinim and HaBesor National Park (Eshkol Park). Around 850 visitors chose to camp overnight over the weekend, with the most popular sites being Ma'ayan Harod, Eshkol Park and Khan Be'erot in Mitzpe Ramon Crater.
