The Central District Court in Lod ruled that the lynch murder of city resident Yigal Yehoshua during Operation Guardian of the Walls in May 2021 was an act of terrorism. The judges' decision stated, 'Review of the defendants' statements establishes that the motive was nationalist, to harm Jews as such.' Yehoshua was struck in the head with a brick and beaten during the riots in Lod.
