Edna Halbani, a former senior official in Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office, addressed thousands of protesters at Tel Aviv's Rabin Square during an anti-government demonstration. "From day one when this prime minister arrived at the office, we understood who we were dealing with," she said. "I was certain he would be out of office by October 8. But he, his wife and his unemployed son are clinging to their seats." She added: "It's time for millions to take to the streets. Only if we shut down the country might we succeed in removing this contemptible person. 56 hostages are still with the Nazis and he sleeps with a clear conscience."
