Congressional Documents: Saudi Arabia May Enrich Uranium as Part of US Deal

|
Saudi Arabia may enrich uranium in some capacity on its territory as part of a proposed nuclear agreement with the U.S. This emerges from documents of the U.S. Congress and an arms control group. Nonproliferation experts warn that any spinning centrifuge in Saudi Arabia could open the door to a possible weapons program for the kingdom, something Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has said he could do if Iran obtains a nuclear bomb. In the past, Presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump have attempted to reach a nuclear agreement to share American technology with Riyadh.
