The Magistrate's Court in Petah Tikva released from detention the suspect in the assault on MK Eli Dalal at a Likud conference in Kfar Saba two days ago. Police requested to extend his detention, but Judge Erez Melamed determined there was no reasonable suspicion of assaulting a public servant, interfering with a police officer in the line of duty or behavior that might disturb public peace. However, the police requested a stay of execution to appeal the decision and received until 2:00 PM.
