President Isaac Herzog spoke at the Israel Security Prize ceremony, saying that "there is no doubt that in this campaign, brave and important security decisions were made by the political echelon. Now we need equally brave thinking – regarding the day after and the diplomatic move that will complement the military action." Defense Minister Israel Katz said: "We gather here while tens of thousands of reserve soldiers have left home, family and work and responded again to the national call – returning all hostages and defeating Hamas. The people of Israel are united as an iron fist against any threat."
